Hinge life and the packed thickness are the two numbers a travel retail buyer asks for. Both come from the mechanical drawing, not from the electrical sheet.
The hinge is the product
A foldable stand is bought for the bag and judged on the hinge. The part has to hold a phone at an angle for years, survive being folded twice a day, and not develop a wobble that makes the phone slide off the ring.
Ask for the cycle count and the play after the test. A hinge rated for 10,000 cycles with visible play at the end is a different product from one rated for 20,000 with none.
What folds and what does not
The phone arm folds. The watch module usually stays on the base, because the puck needs a fixed angle to hold the watch. That is why a folded station still has one raised surface, and why the packed thickness is set by the watch module, not by the phone arm.

Travel retail, and what it asks
